A Walk in the Park

I had been walking in Dublin's Stephen's Green park and it was a beautiful sunny day. So far this year, we've been having a great summer, which is unusual here in Ireland. The summer sunshine falling through the patterns of light in the trees makes for a beautiful canvas.

As I walked through the park, I liked to pick out some of the details too, and not just capture the larger pictures. I love the way young branches and flowers grow in tree trunks, and the way patches of light can illuminate a group of daisies or a leaf on the tree.

After finishing in the park I headed over to the canal and enjoyed the peaceful breeze and gentle coming and goings of people by the canal walk ways. It's great to have these bands of nature right in the heart of the city.

Photos were taken with a Fuji X-E1 an 18-55mm lens.
